Sony has confirmed it’s hosting a PS5 Gameplay event on June 4, to show the power of the upcoming console.
The PS5 game reveal event will be an hour-long presentation, called the ‘Future of Gaming’, and will give us our first look at the PlayStation 5’s game line-up.
Sony has told developers it will contact them individually with details on how to test PlayStation 5 compatibility, in the order of their various projects’ release.
Harness the power of a custom CPU, GPU, and SSD with Integrated I/O that rewrite the rules of what a PlayStation console can do.
What time will it start?
The presentation will air on June 4 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST (or on June 5 at 6am AEST). Fans will be able to watch via Twitch, YouTube or the official PS5 website.
Sony also have released a trailer, check it out below and let us know what you think!
Sony has told PlayStation 4 game developers that any new titles submitted for certification must also be compatible with PlayStation 5, beginning 13th July.
This means all PS4 games received by Sony for testing after the middle of that month are technically forwards compatible – playable on Sony’s next-gen console – though it is up to each game’s developer to ensure this is the case.
We are very exited to see the PS5 Gameplay and will keep you guys updated as this develops!
